I am a mathematician specializing in applied geometry who has been fascinated by splines and meshes for over a decade now. I work at MTU Aero Engines AG in a team that transforms scientific results into powerful CAD/CAE software tools that enable our users to design yet better aircraft engines. My main interests are geometric modeling and approximation of 3D scans.
I have decent knowledge of Parasolid and I am a long-term contributor to G+Smo (Geometry + Simulations modules). Recently, I have also been playing around with CGAL. While this is mostly C++, I came to love Common Lisp, a programming language that you have probably never heard of.
I also try to keep up with the research world and to occasionally come up with an original idea myself.
You can find me on Google Scholar and LinkedIn.
