I'm a particle and accelerator physicist and I'm using Mathematica in order to analyze and especially visualize data retrieved from a SQLDB. The cdf documents with the awesome possibility to show many plots in dynamic frames convinced me to try Mathematica instead of C++ and root. After two years using it, I'm quite comfortable with datasets... but still many questions arise and are answered here usually very fast and convincing.
