This post is a follow-up of Generating a 2 variables polynomial with constraints.

I would like to generate automatically a polynomial in three variables $(s,t,u)$ which is symmetric under the exchange of $s$ and $t$ only.

Is there some sort of trick like using powers $a$, $i-a$?
