# How to draw mode vectors of two degrees of freedom

• Here is two degrees of freedom system.

*And the mode vectors of this system is

({{1, 1},{1, -1}})


*And the mode shape will be expressed like this...

• And the time history movement of each vector will be like this...

• Then,,,Can I draw these graphe(mode shape & time history movement) by useing the Mathematica?

• It is not clear what the scope of this question is. Is this just a matter of producing these plots, or is it a matter of figuring out what the mode vectors, mode shape and "time history movement" of this dynamical system is? Or is the question how to do it for an arbitrary system? As an aside, this question would garner more attention if you were to include a small description of what a mode shape is to allow mathematical, but not necessarily physics, people to answer the question. I found that Google was not very helpful when trying to find out what a mode vector is, for example. – C. E. Jul 6 at 5:30
