I am trying to use Epilog and Inset to insert a plot inside another plot. I would like to avoid absolute positioning and would thus like to use

Inset[insetplot, {Right, Bottom}, {Right,
  Bottom}]

to position the plot. However I do want to be able to put some offset so that I don't have to put it exactly at the Right or the Bottom. I want some margin (either specified in absolute points or as a percentage of the imagesize).

Is there any way to do this? (My Attempt to act with Offset on Bottom failed.)

  • $\begingroup$ You can replace {Right,Bottom} by the equivalent ImageScaled[{1,0}], which can be wrapped with Offset. Depending on your exact needs, you can also use Scaled[{1,0}] to align w.r.t. the corner of the plot range (as opposed to the corner of the image). And instead of Offset you can also tweak the coordinates inside Scaled/ImageScaled, depending on how you want your offset to behave $\endgroup$ – Lukas Lang Apr 25 at 14:38
