# How to set tick label precision on x axis [duplicate]

I want to plot some functions, let's say $$24.30 x^{1.98} (1-x)^{2.06}$$ and $$9.1x^{3.1} (1-x)^{3.8}$$ with the plot range for x to be from 10^-3 to 1. But, the graph generated doesn't show the ticks 10^-2, 10^-3 on x-axis.

{24.30 x^1.98 (1-x)^2.06,9.1x^3.1 (1-x)^3.8},
{x, 10^-3, 1}
]


To be precise, I wanted a graph something like this given below

• Thank you for commenting. I have just tried with LogLinearPlot[{24.30 x^1.98 (1 - x)^2.06, 9.1 x^1.31 (1 - x)^3.80}, {x, 10^-3, 1}], the graph is ok but I wanted to display the ticks 10^-2 and 10^-3 which are not coming in the graph.

Use LogLinearPlot to get log scaling on the x-axis:

LogLinearPlot[
{24.30 x^1.98 (1-x)^2.06,9.1x^3.1 (1-x)^3.8},
{x, 10^-3, 1},
PlotRange->All
]


If you only want power of 10 ticks, you could give an explicit Ticks option:

LogLinearPlot[
{24.30 x^1.98 (1-x)^2.06,9.1x^3.1 (1-x)^3.8},
{x, 10^-3, 1},
PlotRange->All,
Ticks->{Table[{10^n, Superscript[10,n]}, {n, -3, 0}],Automatic}
]
