I need to put legend " real part" for plot n5 and " imaginary part" for plot t5 such a way that, legends colors match up with their respective plot and both the legends should remain together( column wise) inside the graph. Please advice me.

If you add the option

PlotLegends -> Placed[{"real part"}, {Scaled[.8], Scaled[.8]}]

in ListLinePlot that produces n5, and the option

PlotLegends -> Placed[{"imaginary part"}, {Scaled[.8], Scaled[.8]}]

when producing t5, then

c = Show[n5, t5]

gives

  • $\begingroup$ Thanks kglr. One question, what does {Scaled[.8], Scaled[.8]} means. I mean does it means the legends started from 8/10 of the x-axis scale or something else. $\endgroup$

    $\begingroup$ @rabink, please see PlotLegends >> Scope >> Legend Placement for various alternatives to specify the position of the legend. {Scaled[.7], Scaled[.9]} means the coordinate whose x-component is at 70% of the horizontal plot range and y-component is at 90% of the vertical plot range. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ i tried to fix the height and width of the above image with code ImageSize->{w,h} where w is the width and h is the height. If i need the width of 3.4 inch (8.6 cm) and height 4 inch (10.1 cm), what value of w and h i need to put. I need your advice $\endgroup$
