My objective is to have all the points with the same y value be concatenated. So in the example above, the table would go from {0.,1.} all the way to {17.308, 0.22}. Then all the ordered pairs from {0., 1.} to {17.057, 1.} would be only one or two ordered pairs. Runtime is not an issue. I don't need this to be efficient for the time being. Thank you in advance. So basically what I mean by that is, I want to keep the integrity, shape, of the data set (probs), I do however want to delete some of the points in probs. Notably any points (ordered pairs, (x,y)) where the y value is the same for consecutive values. I would like probs to eventually look like: {{0., 1.}, {17.057, 1.}, {17.308, 0.22}, {17.558, 0.23}, {72.273, 0.23}, {72.526, 0.001}...} and so on. You see what I mean by first and last ordered pair with the same y value? $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ So basically what I mean by that is, I want to keep the integrity, shape, of the data set (probs), I do however want to delete some of the points in probs. Notably any points (ordered pairs, (x,y)) where the y value is the same for consecutive values. I would like probs to eventually look like: {{0., 1.}, {17.057, 1.}, {17.308, 0.22}, {72.273, 0.23}, {72.526, 0.001}...} and so on. You see what I mean by first and last ordered pair with the same y value? $\endgroup$
