comment How can the behavior of InterpolationOrder->0 be controlled?
It appears that in version 10.2, ListStepPlot will offer an explicit option to control this behavior.

comment Why does the degree symbol disrupt this FrameLabel?
I'm in mma 10 on OS X 10.9.5. Can anyone else reproduce it?

comment Why does the degree symbol disrupt this FrameLabel?
@wxffles adjusting ImagePadding just reveals that the baseline of the "C" has been shifted. I must have Frame->True in my init.m somewhere. If you add Frame->True can you reproduce it?

Does anyone know a better way?

comment How can the Theil-Sen estimator be made to work on larger datasets?
@DanielLichtblau, well as the bounty is nonrefundable and there has been no explosion of interest in this question, I suppose an answer that neatly packages a random sampling method could still win.

comment How can the Theil-Sen estimator be made to work on larger datasets?
@DanielLichtblau, is a random sample guaranteed to give the same answer? One of the main benefits of the technique is its insensitivity to outliers, even if a substantial fraction of the data is composed of outliers. I'd hate to get unlucky and randomly sample only pairs that include the outlier data.

comment Error changing Dataset using Part
@WReach, are WRI employees working to compile the Query language into SQL? Will this be brought into DatabaseLink?

comment How can a key be renamed in an Association?
@bobthechemist, if that's the case, let's use this as an opportunity to request ReplaceKey or something in a future version.

comment How can a field be efficiently added to a Dataset?
@SjoerdC.deVries, that is helpful, but appears to only apply when the new column is some function of the existing ones.

comment Why is left NumberPadding always applied in NumberForm?
@MikeHoneychurch, thanks for the reminder. While your answer contains a good solution to the problem, m_goldberg's answers the exact question.

comment Horizontal Tree Layout?
This code adds an extra frame. You only need Rotate[ ... /. x_Framed -> Rotate[x, -Pi/2], Pi/2]

comment Set PointSize to pixel size
With DensityHistogram there's no need to generate m: DensityHistogram[ data, PlotRangePadding -> 0, ImageSize -> {200, 200}, Frame -> False, ColorFunction -> (Blend[{LightGreen, Darker@Green}, #] &), PerformanceGoal :> "Speed" ]

comment Why has my syntax coloring changed?
Clearing the user-level init.m in ~/Library/Mathematica/FrontEnd/ doesn't work. Is there another system-wide one I should try clearing out? Starting with Command+Shift also doesn't work.

@Szabolcs, yes, and I'm absolutely sure it's plugged in. See edits.

Ah for this case I've added the Keys function from this answer to my toolchain.

comment How can autocomplete entries be added for DownValues and Properties?
@rcollyer, I don't understand your question. I can always call thisFit["Properties"] to find the properties of the fit or DownValues[x][[All,1,1,1]] to get the keys of x. You have improvements upon these methods?

comment Why do Plot and ListPlot use the last PlotStyle when only one thing is plotted?
Mine is version 9. It looks like they changed something. The green and blue colors never appear in the InputForm of the third example.

comment Why do Plot and ListPlot use the last PlotStyle when only one thing is plotted?
Aha. I thought Directive was always required for multiple-word styles. This is a symptom of that not being the case. Thanks.

comment How can this AbsoluteTime call be made faster?
@chromate, thanks, but you're performing the reverse of the desired conversion. The input data are strings.

@poorsod, I suggest you post a new question with an example showing your problem.
