comment How to sort arguments of Times in nonstandard order?
@Mr.Wizard Wait! On second thought, I ask for more time to evaluate the differences. One of my concerns (not worded above) was that the output must be readily convertible by TeXForm and I'm not sure Row-s in Silvia's answer are ok with TeX. Will check it tomorrow all your answers, have to sleep now.

Thanks @Mr.Wizard, that is the one I was looking for. Accordingly, mine is a duplicate then.

@Sjoerd I had the same feeling, and you can imagine that I took the time to look for it. BTW, I find it very strange that a complex typesetting environment like Mathematica does not provide this functionality readily and one has to hack his way like jkuczm did...

The only occasion when a user-defined function should start with a capital letter! +1 : )

comment What are the most common pitfalls awaiting new users?
@Mr.Wizard Sure, you're right about using shortcut names (I do that myself a lot during development), but since this thread is mostly for new users, I think it's useful for them to stick to telltale function names. I'm afraid a coding-style wiki (though might be interesting) would fall into the fuzzy, "personal taste"-type questions. At least I know that my style has changed a lot during the years...

comment What is the most convenient way to read definitions of in-memory symbols when we don't have the source files? (Spelunking tools)
Is it by design that (Print)Definitions omits formatting definitions like MakeBoxes[...]^:=... (e.g. in case of PrintDefinitions@EvaluationObject)? Is it because some dynamic formatting box could lead to problems when evaluated for printing? @Rolf Try ChartElementData: it has 1853 definitions.

comment How to call external commands with parameters on Win7?
I recommend using RunProcess (and related StartProcess, KillProcess), much easier to set up complicated command chains. It constructs the actual command to conform to the actual platform it is run on, concerning paths, spaces, escape characters, etc.

See built-in automatic method using "EdgeLayout" that curves edges.

comment Is it possible to draw a curved edge between two vertexes of a graph?
Use the built-in edge-curving method via the "EdgeLayout" option.
