comment Can't run 2 CDF documents at a time on a Windows computer
My post at abstractmath.org/Word%20Press/?p=4632 has two CDF documents which can be run simultaneously on my Windows 7 machine. But I have Mathematica installed as well.

comment In a CDF can I suppress or avoid “This file contains potentially unsafe dynamic content…”
This question is like the question at 5200. Mike Honeychurch's answer shows how to make the error message appear in the post so the user can run the notebook. The Notebook Security tutorial in Mathematica Help says that a notebook will produce the Unsafe Dynamics message if (among other things) it uses conversion between expressions and strings or options control (among others). That tutorial may give you a clue about your specific problem.

comment How to make text flash for a short period
I have gone back through my questions and marked my favorite answer for some of them. I do not check Math SE very often (a situation that is not likely to change), and when I have found a question I could answer, in each case someone has already answered it.

In the previous comment I should have said "The leftmost Times should have been changed to 9.

The various solutions are helpful, but what I want is for "TreeForm's formatting to keep the nodes in the same location after the transformation". In other words, the leftmost "Times" would be replaced by "3" but all the nodes would be in the same location. (What I really want is also to delete the left two leaves which now contain "3", so that the tree undergoes a one-step evaluation after 3 is substituted to x but with the nodes that are left (i.e. all the nodes except the left two leaves) in the same place on the screen. But I did not ask for that.)

comment CDF file posted in WordPress won't run
I keep getting error emails from Word Press saying people have tried " abstractmath.org/Word%20Press/Word%20Press/?p=2278"; It should be "abstractmath.org/Word%20Press/?p=4362";

Mike: "abstractmath.org/Word%20Press/?p=4362"; works on my browser (Chrome). I tried it just now.

The Notebook Security tutorial in Mathematica Help says that a notebook will produce the Unsafe Dynamics message if (among other things) it uses conversion between expressions and strings or options control (among others). My notebook uses both of these, so it appears that my only recourse is to do what Mike Honeychurch suggested and add "{fullscreen:'true'}" to the embedding code, and then say in my post that the reader may click on the Enably Dynamics button to manipulate the diagram.

What I now know is that the trouble is in the cdf file, not with the code that loads it into the blog. If you look at the blog now -- abstractmath.org/Word%20Press/?p=4362 -- you will see that I added another cdf file from a previous post that worked in that post and works in the current one as well.

comment Too much vertical space in a CDF file
I made the following guide for myself when CDF first came out. I understand it is irrelevant now because of Mma 8.0.4, but I would still like to know if there a command that reduces the size of a hidden cell to zero.

I will be able to download 8.0.4 in a couple of months, so that will solve my problem. Thanks.
