Panel[] (and thus Manupulate[] too) in Windows 7 does not have round corners. It is kind of system dependent.

OK. Update (suggestions from Wolfram TS and CUDA developer): 1) Make sure that you have the most recent dev driver from Nvidia. 2) Retina has dual GPU, and apparently Intel HD4000 is set by default. Make sure that you set NVidia one as default (I don't know how... I don't have the machine :) ).
