Hello and welcome to Mathematica.SE. I have closed this question because it doesn't appear to be about the software Wolfram Mathematica, and it's not clear what your actual problem is. If in fact you are using the Mathematica software to do something, and you are having trouble with it, then please edit your question and click the "flag" link to have it re-opened.

comment Delete data were y = “NS” in a list with elements {x, y}
Thanks for your attempt at an answer! Could you perhaps add a bit more explaining your approach and (ideally) how it compares to others? What if the non-numeric element isn't exactly "NS"?

Is this a question about the software Mathematica from Wolfram Research and/or the Wolfram Language?

comment SetSystemOptions in a package
Thanks @halirutan - yes, that's the correct edit. Was in a hurry and had forgotten how to do it right. Anyway, the wrinkle I hadn't mentioned is that the packages are in Eclipse Juno, and I'm launching version 10 from there. I don't have write access to the production version of the packages because our IT dept locks access to that folder. (I'm on Windows 7 here.)

@LLIAMnYP You can, of course, include them as well, but I chose a simple example that the OP could work with. I've added that case.

I'm surprised that I couldn't find a dupe for this, but it seems it hasn't actually been asked before.

comment How to access data from WHO Mortality Database
Check out the Import function, which supports ZIP files. You would need to know the internal structure of the ZIP archive to see if there are any directories within it.
