Is \""Section" Or "Subtitle"\" literally what you have in your code?

comment Is it possible to recover the efficiency of ListConvolve when generalizing the convolution?
In the first instance I'd work on e.g. ListCorrelate[{x, y, z}, {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, {-1, 1}, {}, f, g] maybe where f and g are listable functions and where the kernel and list are always lists. But I, like presumably others around here, are not privy to the underlying code. BTW are you the developer for these two functions?

"How might that be done?" -- you mean how can it get added to the development pipeline? While I acknowledge it is not as useful as being able to tweet programs I'm sure someone there might accept that it warrants investgation

What are the chances of getting the generalised versions of ListConvolve and ListCorrelate matching the speed of the default? Can this be added to the development pipeline?

Unless there has been a recent upgrade there is not much you can do. ListConvolve and ListCorrelate could be used in some creative ways if the generalised versions were anywhere near as fast as the default but its never been the case unfortunately.

comment Private Style in a StyleSheet with preformatted text
Counters and associated text need to be added within the cell frame rather than the cell body. Best to examine some examples from stylesheets that have automatic numbering, e.g. DisplayForumulaNumbered

@Berg What OS are you using? On Mac the entire framed text is visible. i.e. it is not longer than the standard width of Graphics as per your opening sentence.

comment How can I change the autonumbering criterion?
You should tag your cell and use the automatic numbering so that it always links back to a specific cell and its counter. There should be examples on here how to do that. If not I'll post something tomorrow if no one else has.

The way to avoid this is 1) to use DynamicModule so that you localise your variables to the notebook -- in your example the variable is global so requires kernel evaluation; 2) test the variable in some way and only display if True.

comment List of Mathematica related acronyms and their real meaning
My understanding of the finance platform is that it is a combination of Mathematica/CDF Enterprise and differs primarily from those as stand alones by the addition of a link to Bloomberg (also a link now to another data source whose name escapes me) -- these links cannot be purchased separately but can of course be developed yourself based on the vendor API -- and may contain some functionality that has yet to be rolled out in "standard" Mathematica.

Best for you to use your simpler solution rather than the answer that was posted given it was not acceptable
