Length[l]}], just wondering if there was something built in to take care of things like this. Thanks for the suggestions! |

Gröbner basis on a particular set of equations @Mr.Wizard Followed the suggestion here, which was to put it on github. It's a notebook file (.nb), not raw code, so you'll still have to download it and run it. Incidentally, I ended up using Singular's modStd command, which handled it with aplomb. |

Does parallel programming use up large quantities of memory in Mathematica? @ToddAllen I had incorrectly stated that ParallelTable sends a copy of the memory to each parallel kernel - the answer by acl asserts that this is, in fact, not true. I have updated my answer as well. |

I will adjust my answer to refer to your post for this part, I guess in my experience I was always doing things like ParallelTable[tbl1[[i]],{i,1,10}] and not realizing that if I didn't interact with the data it would not copy it to the other kernels. |
