Hello!
I am self-learning mathematics at the moment. My interest on mathematics was completely destroyed in high-school, after years ignoring it I've discovered it's interesting and beautiful. Now I'm planning to study it on university and even pursue a masters and a Ph.D! Yay!
I am very grateful for your $Time \cup Patience \cup Answers$. If my question is too stupid, blame these answerers.
If you want to talk, you can e-mail me: $gioxis@gmail \cdot com$
What is a Mathematician?
There are two popular guesses to what a mathematician is, and one popular conception of what a philosopher is.
Mathematician:
- A Mathematician is an incredible human calculator;
- A Mathematician is someone that deals with surreal-utopian levels of reality;
Philosopher:
- A philosopher is a semi-stoned dude who speculates about how the world would be if eggs had hair.
If you believe the second conception of what a mathematician is, then these are working philosophers of mathematics!
I am also a pseudo musician, I study piano and I used to make music with my computer.

Help me to find a way to do this repetitive stuff The g is the point, I switched it because I couldn't make /. ToString[.] -> Graphics[{CMYKColor[x/a1, x/10, 0, x/a3], Rectangle[]}] work. |

Trouble with Flatten[] @DavidCarraher I want to do this. I made these functions, now I can make a bigger function that's a little more generalist. But it's still not working properly. |

Trouble with Flatten[] This is the output: Sequence[{{x1, 1, 3}, {x2, 1, 3}, {x3, 1, 3}, {x4, 1, 3}, {x5, 1, 3}, {x6, 1, 3}, {x7, 1, 3}, {x8, 1, 3}}] |

Trouble with Flatten[] I naively learned to go down some levels on a list with Flatten. |

Why does Evaluate[a[[1]]]=0 assign a value to a variable while a[[1]]=0 doesn't? @AlexeyPopkov Oh, when I posted my comment, your comment wasn't shown here, slow internet. =/ |

Why does Evaluate[a[[1]]]=0 assign a value to a variable while a[[1]]=0 doesn't? @AlexeyPopkov It's not working here. When I press the + Book Button, it adds a book in the reading list, but trying to call the v1 variable still gives me a variable with no value. |
