FindRoot runs out of memory in Windows but not on Mac Let me see if I understand this correctly. You are comparing v8 on a mac with v9 on PC and you ask why the PC version causes a different behavior, right? Why are you so sure the difference isn't caused by a difference in versions? |

Solar System Orbital Parameters @J.M. I wouldn't object the reopening of the question at all, but I still read the question differently than you seem to do. Does anyone know of any data that gives initial positions and velocities of the Solar System's planets and their moons in 3D Cartesian coordinates is nothing other than about getting said data (a Q which is answered) and is not about integrating motion equations. Where in this question do you read more than this? |
