2d comment Adding two conditions in the color function for a contour plot "fades to grayscale" is sorta kinda vague; what sorts of gray are you expecting to come from your colors? 2d comment What can I use as an equivalent of python zip in mathematica inside of Sum[]? @chia, f @ x is just the same as f[x]; a prefix form of function application to a single argument. 2d comment What am I missing in this highly oscillatory integral? @Daniel, that picture looks like a fun bunch. :) 2d comment What can I use as an equivalent of python zip in mathematica inside of Sum[]? Consider Total[y1/(4*x1) + (1 - y1)/(4*x2) - weights y1/(widths + x1) - (1 - y1)/(widths + x2)] to exploit listability. 2d comment What can I use as an equivalent of python zip in mathematica inside of Sum[]? Also, if one wants the full generality of zip(), Flatten[] with a properly set second argument might be more appropriate. 2d comment What can I use as an equivalent of python zip in mathematica inside of Sum[]? Isn't Transpose[] more "traditional"? 2d comment What can I use as an equivalent of python zip in mathematica inside of Sum[]? zip() is effectively the same as Transpose[], but your problem looks as if it will be better served by MapThread[] + Total[]. 2d revised Insphere for Irregular Tetrahedron edited body 2d comment How to define a function deriv[f[x]] such that its output is an unevaluated expression fx=D[f[x],x]? @hYPotenuser, Defer[] might actually make more sense here; on the other hand, if the input is g[z], I suppose the expected output is gz = … 2d revised cumulative probability about the number of variable (ABC-Analyse) edited tags 2d comment What am I missing in this highly oscillatory integral? @Daniel, As in David Levin of Tel Aviv himself? I didn't know he played table tennis… ;) 2d comment How may I avoid ParametricPlot3D clipping? The "golden ratio" scaling is for Plot[]/ListPlot[]. ParametricPlot3D[] has the BoxRatios -> Automatic setting by default. 2d comment How may I avoid ParametricPlot3D clipping? Patrick, that's an interesting rep number that you have… :) 2d comment What am I missing in this highly oscillatory integral? It has been a while since I last looked at Levin's paper, but in the meantime: have you seen this? 2d revised What am I missing in this highly oscillatory integral? edited tags 2d comment Speeding up the built-in Rudin-Shapiro and Thue-Morse sequence functions @Daniel, is there any chance you can bring this up to the relevant people? 2d comment What Method options does FindInstance accept? At least some of those look like they're supposed to be options for CylindricalDecomposition[] 2d revised How to avoid these garbage and missing mesh lines in ParametricPlot3D? edited tags 2d comment How may I avoid ParametricPlot3D clipping? I think it's safe to say that I have some experience with using ParametricPlot3D[], considering that I was already using it back when it was a function that had to be loaded through a package. And yes, you are not the first special snowflake to be sideswiped by Mathematica trying to guess the "best features" of your plot and then clipping the plot range accordingly. 2d comment Eisenstein Series in Mathematica? If you can wait until Saturday, I can post the routine I have for evaluating Eisenstein series. Note that WeierstrassInvariants[] is of course a scaled version of $E_4$ and $E_6$.
