I only installed Mathematica with English interface to be sure to have the same "wording" when discussing with colleagues. Strange. Every high-level language nowadays has this feature (incl. Java). Thus it is just not implemented in pure MM. Ok, there's still the possibility to make a Java call... |

Select rows from table by keys @kguler Your dt1 approach is what I had originally in mind. Now from your answer I know that I have to put some brackets around the first place-holder to mix #1 and # for the mapping. Thank you. |

Select rows from table by keys That's exactly what I was aiming for and the absolute elegant solution. I am sorry that I did not find GatherBy in the manual. Sometimes the power of MM is really amazing / overwhelming. |
