comment Range of summation in simple Plot seems off
@belisarius: If I had access to a scanner I would have provided one. I understood why you asked for a scan. As it turns out the question was answered without it but I certainly don't disagree that would have been ideal.

The typo was in my question (in the formula but not the code), not the book. Corrected now. Helpful answer and references and tip.

@belisarius: Perhaps not. Thanks for the edits and check of the range. If I get access to a scanner I will add the graphs. Or if someone who has the book can confirm that my description of the range is correct--the graph is on p. 198, upper left (his $T_1$).

With that in mind I will accept yours as the more general solution, although because my lists are almost always of numbers Kuba's response was helpful.

Kuba has not posted his/her answer--what do you think of that suggestion, out of curiosity?

comment Question about ReplacePart
Assuming it works, doesn't add a step? Basically in Kuba's note it's just "Thread." Very economical. But if it works, fine.+1

Isn't there some way to use a list of indices and replacement elements and do this all at once?

comment Question about ReplacePart
@Hubble07: You are saying that if the first list contains 1000 elements and the second list contains 500 that I would have to type 1->a, etc. 500 times?

comment Programming a series involving alternative log expressions
@belisarius: 'Revision of programming paradigm' is a good way of putting it. It's a priority but a slow process given my schedule. Thanks for reminding me.
