comment Want to add a legend to 3D plot made by combining three plots with Show
Why not just put them all in a single plot? Plot3D[{Cos[x] Cos[y], -(x - Pi/2) (y + Pi/2), (x - Pi/2) (y + Pi/2)}, {x, -5, 5}, {y, -5, 5}, PlotRange -> {-1, 1}, ClippingStyle -> None, PlotLegends -> "Expressions"]

comment How can I generate and randomly assign color to annular sectors?
Your annular sectors look very polygonal to me... But the colour scheme you picked is very pretty.

comment Equation solution using minimization
Can you elaborate on what properties of the function make it impossible to use ContourPlot?

comment Transform an expression to remove the singularity
@MichaelE2: Yes, if I do a bunch of trigonometry to derive the appropriate substitution I can then plug it into Mathematica, but it would be nice to have a more automatic solution.

comment How to refine the approximate solution of an implicit function?
FindRoot accepts an initial guess for the values of the unknowns.

How about FindRoot?

comment Is it possible to solve a certain set of nonlinear equations in Mathematica?
Have you tried Solve or NSolve?

comment plotting a trig functions along with its envelope
@Solarmew: You first need to copy the definition of the Hilbert transform from the post I linked to. It also gives a discrete version of the transform, which you could use in much the same way on discrete data.

And ExampleData["NetworkGraph"] too I guess.

Try cc[x_] := -Erfc[x] instead.

comment How to NIntegrate a function that is the result of another NIntegration
Why not just NIntegrate[y f[x] Exp[I k y Sin[x]] Conjugate[f[z]] Exp[-I k y Sin[z]], {x, a, b}, {z, a, b}, {y, c, d}]?

comment How to solve numerically an equation which contains numerical intergration?
For one thing, DSolve is for solving differential equations. For another, an equation with a non-analytical integral is probably too hard for Solve and NSolve. Try FindRoot[..., {x, 1}].
