comment Why does Thread FileDate give an error message?
Thank you Leonid Shifrin! I found `SetAttribute[FileDate,Listable] works, but I seems to remember a post say setattribute to Listable is not a good way, I can't find the post now, do you know that post?

comment is there a way to speed up rule replace?
@rm-rf OK, I understand. Dispatch speed up rule replacement significantly. I never knew Dispatch before. Dispatch's awesome efficiency impressed me.

@rm-rf maybe this is a duplicate.mathematica.stackexchange.com/questions/31613/… . I am reading now

@rm-rf What?! why this is a duplicate????! My main question is not why parallel is slow. My question is to get a quicker method to extract the data I wanted.

@PinguinDirk OK, I admit my question is a duplicate. Why I can't find the duplicate before I post the question? Have you seen that question before or you just searched and find duplicates?

@MikeHoneychurch why do you delete your answer? I was just asking you what do you mean by "direct way"

Yeah! string works! Thank you very Much! To notice before Launch, Needs["SubKernelsRemoteKernels`"]` is essential. But why I can't find "SubKernels`RemoteKernels`" in mathematica doc?

Now, I am sure that the first step Start remote master kernel is unnecessary. Just Add host in the remote Kernels tab, and then first CloseKernels[], second LauchKernels[], all the Kernels will be launched. This works on my HPC.

If I have qsub two nodes and got node name fu01 and fu02 each has 24 cores. The shell is on fu01. Then as I understand, I can just type LaunchKernels[RemoteMachine[fu02, "ssh -x -f -l 3 1 math -mathlink -linkmode Connect 4 -linkname '2' -subkernel -noinit", 16]], right? But it didn't work. It just gives ` $Failed`

Thank you for the information! I am reading it. I have a question. I can't understand the step Start remote master kernel. In the Mathematica doc "ParallelTools/tutorial/ConnectionMethods", it didn't say that we have to start remote master kernel. And I can understand why your method can launch a master kernel on remote node. Can explain it a little?

Hi,xslittlegrass! Do you know how to do it without front end? The network of the HPC which I use is not fast enough to use a front end. And I didn't understand Szabolcs's method. Does he achieve the same effect as yours(to parallel computation across different nodes)?
