OK, I can do D[#, r] & /@ (r + ftest[r, r^2]), but this is not the solution I hope for, I want to make creation of Derivative[_,_][ftest][_,_] not possible for D[]

comment Faster simplification of linear combinations of some specific functions
@DanielLichtblau This sounds very promising. However, my goal is rather to make simplification faster (possibly not lowering the compression level). Unfortunately I don't know how to include Experimental`OptimizeExpression[] to my code. This would probably require substantial changes.
