comment ArXiv queries not working with ServiceConnect
Someone might be able to reproduce it

@m_goldberg how does that help anything

comment Linear fit with conditional noise distribution
And could you maybe elaborate a bit on how you constructed the design?

comment Linear fit with conditional noise distribution
Interesting solution, what condition would you use to stop iterations?

@Coolwater Ok, added my data to the post!

@Coolwater Something like that was my first idea, I'll add the code I tried thus far.

Sure, I'll add a link to my data.

I'm using 10.3.1. There is the output from a notebook with your commands: {"Name" -> "ServiceConnection_ArXiv", "Version" -> "0.0.8", "BuildNumber" -> "", "Qualifier" -> "", "WolframVersion" -> "10+", "SystemID" -> All, "Description" -> "", "Category" -> "", "Creator" -> "", "Publisher" -> "", "Support" -> "", "Internal" -> False, "Location" -> "/Users/user/Mathematica.app/Contents/SystemFiles/Links/ArXiv", "Context" -> {"Arxiv"}, "Enabled" -> True, "Loading" -> Manual}`

I'm on a Mac, can anyone replicate on OS X?

Is it just me or are many of the ServiceConnect and friend functions very buggy?

Oh right, thought they might have added as a first class symbol

@OleksandrR. Does Mathematica have linked lists?

comment What are the time and space complexities of Classify/Predict?
For now I'm doing an analysis without BenchmarkPlot but I'm not sure how to best gauge the space complexity. For training time there is a property in the classifier, but no "TrainingSpace". Just using ByteCount on the classifier or might miss allocations no?

@SjoerdC.deVries seems that BenchmarkPlot doesn't like me, can you see what's going wrong here?

Good idea, will try tonight... Ive always found complexity hard to get a handle on in mma because there's a lot going on under the hood. I thought maybe a dev would know offhand which libraries mma uses for each type of classifier

I'm reading the pdf on the Bayesian Change Point detection in R, this is a great resource, thanks!

Is there a way to flatten out the discontinuities at {517, 539, 596, 632} and at {2218, 2237, 2368, 2392, 2708, 2735} so that the graph looks more like @dr.belisarius's graph? And in general there many be many more plateaus not just the two means, but n means, will your approach work for that too?

How and how did you know to divide by 10?

This is a beautiful answer! How to I get the x values where it jumps?
