comment Strange behaviour of OutputResponse
@EdMendes: FYI, I've noticed you're fairly new to this forum and that you haven't "accepted" any answers to your questions. If you receive useful answers to your questions, you should vote them up. If you receive an answer which truly satisfies your question, you should "accept" it.

comment Documentation searches hang frequently: Anyone else dealing with this?
FYI, I cannot reproduce this behavior on MMA v9.0.1 under Mac OS X.

I'm also running v9.0.1 on Mac OS X and I get the same results you describe when I run your example on MMA v8. Without spending too much time on this, it looks to me like MMA produces equivalent but different symbolic results under 8 and 9, and the differences become important when you apply Chop. For that reason (and many others), you should exercise caution when "Chopping". I generally only use Chop when I'm trying to display numbers in a "clean" manner, but never in the midst of a calculation.

comment Are Mathematica 9 and 10 units really slow?
Just ran the example with Mathematica 9.0.1 on a Mac Pro 2x2.93 GHz Quad-Core Xeon with 8 GB 1066 MGz DDR3, OSX 10.7.4; took about 9 sec. I seem to remember running the example under MMA9 and getting roughly the same performance described above, so I think units speed may have gotten a boost in MMA9.0.1.

comment How to Debug Missing[NotAvailable] error for Social Media Data
A quick check of Mathematica 9.0.1 seems to show that the problems with SocialMediaData (at least for Facebook) have been fixed.
