How can I set ScriptLevel to be 0 for inline math mode? Thank you for this information. I did not know Core.nb had these definitions. |

How can I set ScriptLevel to be 0 for inline math mode? @MikeHoneychurch I use a copy of Default.nb in my stylesheet. I didn't actually change Default.nb. I'll look for the post you speak of. Thank you for the suggestions. |

How can I set ScriptLevel to be 0 for inline math mode? @MikeHoneychurch I'll try that. I don't see where TraditionalForm is defined in the default stylesheet. I have set DefaultNewInlineCellStyle for my Text cells to be "DisplayFormula" and have set ScriptLevel to 0 for "DisplayFormula". |

How to set font color for display formula to be same as the cell in which the display formula resides? What about for DisplayFormula? InlineFormula should work since in Default.nb it's font color is set to Automatic. I'm not sure what the difference between DisplayFormula and InlineFormula are. |

How to set font color for display formula to be same as the cell in which the display formula resides? No. In the local definitions for FontColor for DisplayFormula I can set it to the color I want but this is over ridden by Default.nb. My stylesheet inherits from Default.nb. This appears to be a bug in Mathematica 9. |

How to set font color for display formula to be same as the cell in which the display formula resides? That's certainly possibly the reason for the behavior. Any ideas on what I would change in the Defaul.nb? |

How can I save as PDF without file size getting too large? But Mathematica 8 save as PDF also produces a large file relative to the actual content. Mathematica 8 produced a 350 kb file with 1 line of text in it. This is ridiculously high. |

Is it possible to embed a Youtube video in a CDF? I know I can do that but that's not what I want. I want to embed helper videos and explanations within a notebook. |

Is it possible to embed a Youtube video in a CDF? I know they aren't constructed with HTML but in the same way a web browser can render HTML it seems that Wolfram could allow an HTML cell that would allow this. I hope it will become a feature in the future. I was hoping there would be some other way of viewing a video from within a notebook. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? @jVincent What you say makes sense. My intuition said otherwise. I'm not experienced enough in Mathematica to have good intuition though. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? @Rolf Thanks for letting me know this. In my case this would be bad since it would mess up ListPlot while typing in a new point. But I can see where this option would be useful in other cases. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? @b.gatessucks I'll try that. I had not considered using Manipulate. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? Thank you. It works. I did not try to put Dynamic around the s = ToExpression.... I was not aware that I could do that. For some reason I had a mental block and thought that an assignment would mess up the Dynamic. Thank you for your explanation and solution. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? I've put the Dynamic in every conceivable location and it won't work. I'm getting an error in the ListPlot. It says that s is not a list whenever I have Dynamic. No matter what level I put Dynamic at. |

How can I allow a user to input a list using parentheses and convert this to Mathematica notation dynamically? You are correct. I had those in there because I started out using Dynamic[list] and Dynamic[s] and kept getting errors. For instance, StringReplace[Dynamic[list].....] gives and error. I'll clean the code. But the question remains, how can I make it dynamic? |

How do I prevent auto loading of blank notebook at startup? This appears to be a bug for the Mac OS X version of Mathematica 8. I did this but when I load Mathematica it just hangs. I use multiple desktops. When I slide to the next desktop, one that I didn't load Mathematica in, and then go back Mathematica is no longer hanging and a blank notebook shows up. Thanks for the information. |
