comment Mathematica sporadically crashes on open
For me, Mathematica kept crashing when it opened the splash screen and some other notebooks. I fixed it by running mathematica -clean.

comment Integral of GeneratingFunction
For me GeneratingFunction[n a[n],n,x] evaluates to x GeneratingFunction[(1+n)a[1+n], n, x]. Which version of Mma are you using? (I'm using 9.)

I'm trying Tabbles these days to perform this task. It's a tag-based file manager.

comment shortcut key for traverse command history in a Mathematica session in a terminal?
Does the front end have a way to scroll through command history? I know about Ctrl+L, but that's not the same as the up key in the command-line.
