As time goes on, I grow more disillusioned with quantum field theory.

How do I find the coordinates of points in this image? @Jens I was hoping to figure out how to do that -- but I couldn't, so doing it this way was my last-ditch try. |

How do I find the coordinates of points in this image? Anywhere can be the origin. I will shift and scale the numbers as need be! |

Visualizing vector-spherical waves It works! Though it's hard to choose the best seed points |

Visualizing vector-spherical waves HI Jens, it doesn't seem to work. I am getting an error. First, I am using Sequence @@ CoordinateTransform["Cartesian" -> "Spherical", {x, y, z}] because I am using version 9. Then I am taking the fieldLinePlot out of the Table because I just want one frame. When I run it, I get a bunch of errors, the first one being NDSolve[...] nether a list of replacement rules nor a valid dispatch table followed by part specification errors. The code runs fine in the two examples that you linked to (pair of charges, and current). Any ideas? |

Getting MemoryAllocationFailure from NIntegrate My experience with this site tells me that people will ask you to show them what integral you're trying to do, and what output (if any) you get before crashing.. in both versions. |

Visualizing vector spherical harmonics This is fantastic. In v9, there is the built-in function CoordinateTransform that supersedes CoordinatesToCartesian and (I believe) the VectorAnalysis package as a whole. Soon, I will be multiplying with the BesselJ function, just as you predicted, and will need your help when I do! |
