I tried using EntropiFilter[ ] on the image and its derivatives. The (relatively) bad results are due to the JPG compression artifacts, a really bad choice of format for improving anything.

Let me see if I am understanding your problem: you're measuring 3 different properties of a physical system, but all your three measurements get mixed up in one bag and you want to separate them afterwards. I m really curious about how comes you can't separate them beforehand.
