comment Finding a Graph Shortest Path with Custom Graph Distance Function
Dear @KellenMyers. You've been duped by the "flaw of averages".hbr.org/2002/11/the-flaw-of-averages/ar/1 . Working with averages might make you take an incorrect decision. If instead of averages you work with Stochastic Variables, you would observe that the solution you would chose would be quite different. Some cartoons for your amusement (danielvaverka.com/the-flaw-of-averages)

Brilliant! Dataset[AssociationThread[Drop[fields, {5}], #] & /@sales[ GroupBy[{#Country, #Region, #BU, #Year} & -> Key["Sales"]] ][Normal, Total ][All, Apply[Append]]//Normal] puts the keys back again. ]

comment Finding maximum/minimum value of system of inequalites
Kadir, you are missing the function you want to maximize in the Command. Format should be Maximize[{function,constraints},{x1,x2}]. For example Maximize[{x1+x2,your_Constraints},{x1,x2}]

comment Dataset: cannot reproduce a basic example. A bug?
@WReach please try as follows, in the first input cell do association = AssociationThread[{"A", "B", "C"}, {#[[1]], #[[2]], #[[3]]}] & /@ RandomReal[1, {3, 3}] Then proceed to do shift-enter. Go to the next cell and enter the command dataset = Dataset[association] shift-enter and the error pops up. Tried in two different computers and the error appears.

I also experienced the same issue. (V10.0.0 / Win7 / 64-bit ) This is how I can replicate it. association = AssociationThread[{"A", "B", "C"}, {#[[1]], #[[2]], #[[3]]}] & /@ RandomReal[1, {3, 3}];dataset = Dataset[association]

comment Best practice to group and have your favorite custom functions available at startup
@Mr.Wizard, understood, posted the question on the chat. I'm really interested to know how the power users organize their toolkit of those functions that they use periodically.
