@Öskå is right. Your mesh function is now labelling the curve at the point where its z value is 1 and not at the point where the parameter t is 1. In ParametricPlot3D the option MeshFunctions takes four arguments, the x, y, z coordinates and the parameter along the curve. You can either replace MeshFunctions -> (#3/2.5 &) or MeshFunctions -> (#4 &) to get the right result. Then you'll have (at least) an upvote :)

comment Is it possible to improve Mathematica's auto-completion feature?
This is really cool! I was wondering if you know of an easy way that the auto-completion can be extended to give a dropdown of the arguments of a function associated with downvalues. I am currently using models of various sophistication in a way model["First Order"]=Block and define some symbols in the block accordingly. If I have 5 such models, it would help to write model[ and get a dropdown of all the different arguments that downvalues are assigned for. I think it would also be helpful with several geographical built-ins that are defined in this way.
