# How to remove styling from a formatted object? [closed]

I have an object of the form

Style[Grid[...,...],...]

What function do I need to apply to it to get the Grid[...,...] part only?

(List@@Style[Grid[{{x, y}}], Red,Bold])[[1]]

or

First@Style[Grid[{{x, y}}], Red,Bold]

In your first example, it is not necessary to Apply List since Part will act on any expression not just List -- as demonstrated with your second example since "First[expr] is equivalent to expr[[1]]" –  Bob Hanlon Jun 18 at 19:37
@Bob Hanlon Yes you are right. Thanks. –  Algohi Jun 18 at 19:44
Didn't work for me. I try to manipulate the result of the LinearModelFit and pass from the model["ParameterTable"] to the parameters to export it to an external file. a First@model["ParameterTable"] still gives the same result. It seems that the only way of getting the data is using model["ParameterTableEntries"] and then formatting it accordingly. –  Andrei Kucharavy Jun 18 at 20:01
