# A one-liner to pick every kth element of a list [closed]

Is there a nice one-liner that would let take a list and pick every $k$th element? Take the example list {1,2,3,4,5,6}, and set $k = 2$. Without running a loop, can we return f[{1,2,3,4,5,6},2] = {2,4,6}?

@rm-rf Can you explain ";;;;"? –  Cala Sep 9 at 6:49
Please see the documentation for ;; or Span –  rm -rf Sep 9 at 6:49

An alternative to Part and Span is Take: Take[{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}, {2, -1, 2}] still IMO this question is too basic, so I have closed it. –  Mr.Wizard Sep 9 at 7:56
