When I try to export Greek characters from Mathematica to a pdf file, the pdf is filled with unknown characters. Please note that i have no idea about Mathematica, I have just installed it today. I am trying to export as plain text.
P.S. I have already seen this Copying Greek text from notebooks as unicode.
Edit: My operating system is windows 7, I am using 'Save as...' in order to export. Please try this one for example:
SetOptions[$FrontEnd, CharacterEncoding -> "UTF8"]; Export["test.pdf", "Text"]
seems to fix the problem, but the output pdf have grey background like for example this pdf output. Do you guys know a way to make it like this pdf? (second pdf has an issue with spaces between words, and was exported using 'Save as...')
Update2: Thanks everyone, I have found a solution to my problem. Changing character encoding works for me.
