Despite numerous manipulations and contacts with WOLFRAM assistance, I still always get an error when attempting to call curated data (GeographicData, for instance) with Mathematica 9.0.1. Strange enough, queries via Wolfram alpha work ! Have anybody else encoutered this issue ? Thanks.

And to be more specific: Can you post a short example which leads to an error and the error message you are getting? – halirutan Feb 23 at 18:36
type SystemInformation["Network"] and see if AllowInternetUse is True and if LoadOnDemand is True also. – Nasser Feb 23 at 21:35

Are you behind a (corporate) firewall? I encountered some problems in the past with a firewall that used NTLM authentication. I solved this using a proxy. See this answer. – Sjoerd C. de Vries Feb 24 at 15:51
