# Problem with “Test Connectivity”

I have internet connection and I can execute such commands like:

Import["http://www.google.com"]

and

== integrate x^2 dx

(request wolphram alpha)

but when I do "Edit->Preferences->Internet Connectivity->Test Connectivity"

test fails with:

"PacletSiteUpdate::err: An error occurred attempting to update paclet information from site http://pacletserver.wolfram.com. Failed writing received data to disk/application"

and when I do:

Needs["CUDALink"];
CUDAInformation[]

mathematica respons:

CUDAInformation::nopaclet: CUDAResources was not found. Make sure that you are connected to the internet and Mathematica is allowed access to the internet.

Please, help, what's wrong?

Has this been an ongoing problem? Maybe the servers were temporarily down. Another possibility is that something is blocking access to a range of IP addresses, such as if they have been added to a spam / DDoS filter by your ISP. You should try pinging pacletserver.wolfram.com directly. –  Mr.Wizard Jan 20 at 0:04
defenetly, pacletserver.wolfram.com don't respose. I think it temporary problem. Thanks. –  Nikita Jan 20 at 0:12
Have you tried flushing the local DNS cache? On windows this would be ipconfig /flushdns`. –  Mr.Wizard Jan 20 at 0:14
Yes, I tried. I also tried ping it from anouther PC - it don't respons. –  Nikita Jan 20 at 0:16
When I ping pacletserver.wolfram.com it redirects me to pacletserver2.wolfram.com which don't response. But when I ping pacletserver1.wolfram.com or pacletserver3.wolfram.com it works. –  Nikita Jan 20 at 0:22
